Leeds Music Corporation was founded in 1935 by Lou Levy with Sammy Cahn and Saul Chaplin. Built a catalog spanning boogie-woogie blues through 1960s pop, including U.S. publishing rights to the Beatles' "I Want to Hold Your Hand." Levy sold the company to MCA in 1964 for $4.5 million, forming the seed of what's now Universal Music Publishing Group.
