The Guy C. Wood Archive
Guy C. Wood's recovered materials and their storage (our reading; the heading is what the original says)
This contains many bins & shelves worth of files, items, media, etc that pertain to Guy Wood. These belongings are primarily from Guy Wood's positions as band director & LMEA District VI director before his tenure at Archbishop Shaw High School in Marrero, LA. Much of these items were recovered from an extensive disposal of Guy Wood's teaching materials after he had left Edna Karr which underwent a major rebuilding following hurricane Katrina. That being said, only so much of it has been rescued. Many of Guy Wood's publisher tapes, school trophies, large scale ephemera (such as the parade banners for his schools), and at least 5 bins worth of belongings have since been destroyed, thrown out, partially recovered, or were damaged to the point of being unsalvageable. With that being said, however, as many as 18 bins of varying sizes and purposes have been recovered and carefully consolidated up to 6 uniquely browsable cabinets by narrowing down differences between what's considered a file or work in the terms of this archive with significant attention to detail present in ensuring that the browsing experience is as smooth as it needs to be.
