Sixteen-page teachers' price list issued by The S. Brainard's Sons Co. of Chicago, dated
September 1, 1891. Lists roughly 320 music books, studies and folios in 57 sections, from
piano methods and violin studies to Sunday-school books and singing-class manuals, each with
retail price, teachers' price and postage. Brainard gave teachers 50 per cent off retail on
American sheet music, and the list covers both the firm's own publications and those of other
houses it stocked.
